APRIL WOOD WIZARD
For April, it is anything to do with Easter. This leaves a lot of options,
just as Christmas gives us a wide choice of material. You could make a
caricature bunny, a fancy Easter egg, a lilly, or a hat. Easter is first and
foremost a religious event, so this could be represented by a crucifix,
or a pyrography scene.
MAY WOOD WIZARD.
Something to do with Spring. I know the unseasonably fine weather has us all
magically switched into summer mode right now, but really, spring is 3 months
long. A suitable carving (or pyro) would be a bird. Not just any old bird, but
one that represents spring, like a robin. We have some fine flower carvers in
the club, and some have even given seminars on the topic.
Now is a chance to show off skills that may have been learned.
