Join us on November 21st for our Annual Round Up.

This event sees 4 concurrent sessions in one large room. There will also be a paint station so that you can paint your completed carvings.

When you register, be sure to state which project you want to work on as spaces are limited and are first come, first served.

Class is $30 for OWC members.

Non- members $60 which includes a reduced $30 OWC membership

Club tools will be available to use during the class. A cut resistant glove is mandatory for the carving projects.

Here are the projects for this year with description below of instructor and what to expect.

Bob Gander will be teaching you how to carve and paint a Christmas Star.

You will need the following tools: pencil, straight edge, knife, V-tool, flat rasp ( e.g. Japanese finger rasp or small diamond file, 150 and 200 grit sandpaper

(Max 10 participants)

John Bowser will start you off with a conjoined cutout of the snowman, so you will finish with 2 Snowmen! Tools needed, knife, V-tool and a small gouge.

(Max 8 participants)

Sue MacCullum will walk you through the technique of carving a Christmas Pickle. She will provide a 1x1x12" piece of wood so you will be able to carve 3 pickles! Tools required are a knife, 60° V-tool. Sue will have tools to make the dimples.

(max 6 participants)

Pam Laprise will lead you through a pyrography of a Christmas Bell with Holly on a 5x7 piece of plywood. Shading will be the technique used. You will need a pyography machine and a writing & shading tip. A few burners will be available if you don't have one, but supply limited.
