INTRODUCTION TO SHARPENING CARVING TOOLS

Join John Bowser, a long-time member of OWC, as he teaches you how to sharpen your carving tools.

He will provide and demonstrate most of the current abrasives for sharpening, and participants will learn proper shapes and honing skills.

Please bring along all your carving tools and your current stones, strop and other   sharpening aids.

Also bring along your safety gloves.

Target Audience: anyone who wants to learn how to sharpen carving knives/chisels.

Note: a minimum of 6 participants are required to run this workshop and

           the maximum number of participants is 12

Fee: OWC member $ 30

         Non-member $ 60 (includes a reduced $30 annual membership fee)

         Registration deadline is, Mon, Oct. 19th, 2026

         Cancellation refunds given only with 4 days’ notice of the course, by Oct. 20th, 2026

        Participants aged 14-17 inclusive must be accompanied by parent for the duration of

        the class.
